Introducing Distributed Ventures

Early in 2018, after years of investment and early-stage operating experience, and through my partnership with NFP, I founded NFP Ventures, a venture fund focused on the future of risk across Insurtech, Fintech and Healthtech.
With NFP Ventures, we reimagined how corporate venture capital could be played in an agile, highly accretive manner for early-stage companies. We collaborated with incredible, ambitious founders like Anthony Mironov and Greg Franczy of Wingspan, Raj Mehra, Matt Lynch and Ellen Johnston of Sage and Matt Loper and Alec Zopf of Wellth. And we worked with talented innovation, business development and subject matter experts to build and accelerate a portfolio of top tier venture companies.
Our goal was to build a different type of venture fund focused on rapid acceleration for founders and exceptional return generation for limited partners. On both dimensions, our team has demonstrated an impressive track record of success in a short period of time. We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished over the last three years with NFP and are proud to share our team’s next chapter.
Today, with Adam Blumencranz as my partner, I’m excited to announce the launch of Distributed Ventures, the next chapter in our fund progression. Distributed Ventures will welcome complementary perspectives from strategic and institutional limited partners across the industries we serve, with NFP participating as our anchor LP. We expect this diverse capital base and our partners’ deep expertise to bring a unique mix of distribution, transformational innovation, new product creation and entrepreneur-centric DNA, which together will help founding teams realize their vision at a scale and speed unmatched in early-stage venture today.
